The reason I switched to linux was because it is safer. I don't use it really for anything techie at this point, but there are a lot of perks and I like it a lot. He is just happy that he does not have the same problems he has with windows in the same time frame. All tho i Do have a few pc's at home running Windows.. but there not miine and my own PC runs Ubuntu 24/7 :) I am learning c++ etc.. I’ve picked one Game on wine that needs care and i am tracking bug’s and keeping the Wine APP/WineDB Pages upto date with Infomation on Bugs and testing each new wine version against that Game..

This is My way of makeing Ubuntu/Unix better for Everyone.

Keep up the good work.. One day in the Future i’ll look at geting an feed to the Planet page for us Reg users and will also apply to be a MOTU as i get Better and Better.

So far I've shown my partner, her mum and her brother, my dad, a couple of colleagues and me best friend the light and they absolutely love it. These are all people who range from computer novice to more advanced users. It hasn't all been easy - for example I had to compile and make a package up for a specific printer driver for one person, and fix a wi-fi issue for another that involved patching wpa-supplicant. But after these tweaks they get on without issues and my phone is ringing a lot less with people wanting support these days (compared to when they used Windows)!
